In order to achieve proper disposal and reuse without risking the health of human beings and the environment, the solid wastes originating from the İzmir Metropolitan Area are brought to Harmandalı Solid Waste Disposal Site where they are finally disposed. The solid wastes are covered by powdered or liquid Alkeo-Hydrate according to the season and wind conditions in order to prevent odor, insect and visual problems at the site. The Alkeo-C system is applied successfully since 2003 and the local people have felt the relief.
