| In the article it is mentioned that the project of EB concerning the production of biodiesel from the sludge of Izmir is also being supported from abroad . In the workshop held on November, 24-25, 2006 the initial objective was the production of biodiesel from the sludge of Izmir and to use it for the gulf ferries and the second objective was the treatment of the waste waters. |

 The project, “production of biodiesel from the sludge" initiated by Egebiyoteknoloji Inc., BIOSIAD and Ozture Holding, was supported by the scientists who joined the workshop from Italy, Belgium, Spain, Israel, Greece and United Kingdom. The British Specialist Dr.Tim Evans has declared that E.U. is also favoring this project and it can be practicable all around the world.

 The project " production of biodiesel from the sludge" initiated by Egebiyoteknoloji, which is within Ozture Holding structure, has received support from Italy, Belgium, Spain, Greece, Israel and England. It was specified in the workshop that the biodiesel obtained from the sludge will be firstly used in the gulf ferries.
Egebiyoteknoloji Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Adnan Akyarli has stated that the final form of the project will be shaped at the end of the workshop and the implementation will start after the financial support provided by the EU FP7 which will be in effect in January. |

 While the developing projects of Ege Biyoteknoloji Inc., which is an affiliate of Öztüre Holding, was mentioned on an article published in the Economist periodical entitled "The treated sludge converted to Biodiesel", Öztüre Holding General Coordiantor, Mr.Nezih Öztüre stated that the object is to provide the use of biodiesel, which is obtained from the sludge derived by treating the domestic waste, in the Gulf Ferry Boats.
