 Biodiesel Production from Sludge The project “Biodiesel Production from Sludge” of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is mentioned in the article of Yeni Asir Newspaper. The agricultural use of treated sludge is very new in Turkey while it is widely used in the U.S.A. and Europe. The biodiesel obtained from this project will be used for public transportation.

 The problems of Misak-ı Milli Elemantary School, which was build next to the solid waste disposal site, are solved with the technical assistance of Prof. Dr. Necdet Alparslan and Prof. Dr. Adnan Akyarli. Fallowing the Alkeo-C application at the solid waste disposal site, the problem was sort out. According to the researches, after the application there was a decrease in Salihli concerning the insecticide sales. |

Karagözlü stated that due to the decreasing reserves of fossil fuels and the increase of environmental pollution, the searches green energy and fuels became important.
